Last night, I was unhappy!
I had decided to scan through twitter for like the last time before going to sleep when I stumbled upon a couple of bad news about the state of this nation and some rather awful comments on the several things the nations was going through at the time.
My post today is very short and is summarised in three words “NIGERIA WILL RISE”. Our economy might not be the best but “We will rise”. Our industries, sectors and ministries might be mismanaged but “We will rise!”
Ebola could not destroy us, neither could the 2015 elections ruin the nation. Whatever we seem to be passing through now cannot be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in this nation in some years to come. I can assure you.
This is not a call to cajole us and make us feel good. Truth be told, there’s so much wrong affecting this nation. This is a call to each and every one of us to rise, take a stand for something, be part of the nation building process and be determined to be a part of the generation that will transform this nation.
There is so much to be done! This is no time to play away our time! Stand for what is right!
Student, teacher, footballer, photographer, clerk, writer, life coach, driver, make-up artist, psychologist, pastor, whoever you may be, you can make a difference!
I leave you in the words of Fela Durotoye
“The future is everything that we can be;
but have not yet become
The future is everything that we can do;
but have not yet done.
The future is here!
The future is now!
Nigeria will rise; together we can rebuild our nation
